Pros

Optics quality

The Bushnell Trophy binoculars don’t have Dielectric Prism Coating and phase correction, which make it much less pricey. However, it wouldn’t matter so much. The BAK-4 prism glass with full multi coatings ensures a bright viewing anyway. It’s clean, clear and high-resolution.

Image quality

The best thing we like about Bushnell Trophy binoculars 8×32 is the contrast, very well-presented details. Also, the color is very natural. Therefore, if you want to use this Bushnell binoculars for hunting, it would be great as well.

Field of view

We wouldn’t expect a very good field of view with 32mm objective diameter binoculars. But 393 feet, this Bushnell binoculars makes us much more than satisfied. The field of view is among the top option already.

Lightweight

Wow, 15.5oz! This Bushnell Trophy binoculars 8×32 is so lightweight to anyone. If you buy this binocular for your kids, you won’t have to worry about this criterion.

Durable

The rubber armor feels quite thick, yet soft in the palm, with enough grippiness to avoid slippery. Plus, it’s also Bushnell waterproof binoculars, it will be durable for a long while.

Considerations

As lightweight as it is, this Bushnell binoculars is not among the top Bushnell compact binoculars. Apparent, for a cheap option, you have to accept some low-quality details. In this case of the Bushnell Trophy binoculars 8×32, it’s the flip covers, we’re not satisfied at all.

After all, this is the best Bushnell binoculars to start with when you’re new. You have a cheap option, good quality. Later, when you’re ready to move on with something else, you still have the available budget for more expensive options because you started with a very cheap one.

Bushnell 10×42 All purpose binoculars: Best Binoculars for low budget

Apparently, with below $50, you definitely have to consider this option if your financial availability is not so comfortable.

  • Weight: 22 oz
  • Dimension: 5.75 x 5 x 2 inches
  • Magnification: 10x
  • Objective diameter: 42 mm
  • Field of view: 288 feet
  • Eye relief: 14 mm
  • Lens coating: Multi-layer coatings
  • Prism: BK-7
  • Prism type: Roof
  • Waterproof: N/A
  • Fogproof: Yes
  • Price: Around $50

We know that this is not the best performance option. But after all, we don’t expect it to be so good with a price tag below $50. So please, keep in mind and treat this Bushnell binoculars 10×42 as a cheap option.

Pros

Optics quality

We’re more than pleased with the brightness of this Bushnell 10×42 All Purpose binoculars. Apparently, it’s too cheap for BAK-4 prism. However, even then Bk-7 and multilayer coatings are enough to resist glare and light scattering. The view is also very clean and clear.

Focus

The focus system of this Bushnell binoculars 10×42 is surprisingly fast. In fact, we can turn from zero to infinity in half a revolution of the focus knob. The diopter adjustment is also very comfortable to adjust.

Built quality

Well, at least the body of Bushnell 10×42 All Purpose binoculars is covered with thick rubber coating. It’s not fully textured, but the position and amount of textures are appropriate enough to feel the grippiness. Therefore, we still feel quite confident without having to worry about being slippery.

Compactness

5.75 x 5 x 2 inches, this Bushnell binoculars 10×42 is definitely ergonomic in any luggages. 22 oz is also very lightweight for 10×42 binoculars for anyone. To Be honest, we wouldn’t expect 10×42 binos to be this light. This Bushnell 10×42 All Purpose binoculars is one of the best Bushnell compact binoculars.

Considerations

The website doesn’t say that it’s a Bushnell waterproof binoculars, and of course, we wouldn’t risk testing that. So keep in mind that it’s fogproof guaranteed only, and be careful with the weather. Also, this Bushnell 10×42 All Purpose binoculars is not tripod adaptable.

Last but not least, the eye relief is not very long, so it won’t suit eyeglasses wearers.

Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars: best Bushnell binoculars for hunting

In this category, we’re referring to the 10×50 version of the Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars. Usually we would prefer 10×42 for hunting binoculars, but Bushnell doesn’t produce that type for this line. Anyway, how they optimize this product is awesome.

  • Weight: 25 oz
  • Dimension: 8.5 x 8.2 x 3.5 inches
  • Magnification: 10x
  • Objective diameter: 50 mm
  • Field of view: 341 feet
  • Eye relief: 10 mm
  • Lens coating: Multi-layer coatings
  • Prism: BK-7
  • Prism type: Porro
  • Waterproof: N/A
  • Fogproof: Yes
  • Price: Around $75

Pros

Field of view

341 feet is a very good number for 10×50 binoculars. Compared to 315 feet from the Vortex Diamondback, we’re more than happy with this figure from the Bushnell Powerview.

Optics quality

Using the lower-tier BK-7 prism , but the multi-layer coatings enable enough light for a pleasing experience. In fact, the large aperture and precision designed optics facilitate a rich lighting experience, in a natural way.

Image quality

Of course, the best thing that we, as well as other hunters like about this Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars is contrast and details. This Bushnell uses Porro prism, which ensures clear, specific contrast and details for your view.

Porro prism is favored by most astronomy binoculars for its rich lighting and high-resolution contrast. We were very excited to know that Bushnell used porro prism to compensate for the lower tier prism. It’s a smart move!

Other than that, the colors are also very natural. Combining high contrast, large magnification and field of view, hunters are going to love this Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars.

Insta Focus system

The control for focus is really there, getting on focus is so easy. Also, you only need very few dials to adjust the focus with Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars 10×50.

Considerations

We’re talking about the Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars 10×50. 10×50 binoculars are not meant to be lightweight. Sure, 25 oz is not so heavy, but it’s definitely not among Bushnell compact binoculars. In fact, the large objective diameter and porro prism has forced the size not to be neat anyway.

Eye relief is another downside. 10 mm is not ideal for eyeglasses wearers. Last but not least, this is not Bushnell waterproof binoculars, so please be careful with the weather.

After all, Bushnell powerview super high-powered surveillance binoculars are very affordable options. We’re very impressed with how Bushnell uses porro prism and BK-7 glass to make a perfect balance for hunters: cheap price yet high quality viewing images.

  • Weight: 23.5 oz
  • Magnification: 10x
  • Objective diameter: 42 mm
  • Field of view: 340 feet
  • Eye relief: 18 mm
  • Lens coating: Fully Multi-layer coated
  • Prism: BAK-4
  • Prism type: Roof
  • Glass type: ED
  • Waterproof: Yes
  • Fogproof: Yes
  • Price: Around $170-400

Pros

Field of view

The Bushnell 10×42 Legend L-series binoculars have 340 feet field of view, that’s quite high for 10×42 binoculars.

But what brings this option to the Best Bushnell binoculars for birding is the wide angular field of view. 6.5 degrees for angular field of view facilitates quite comfortable movement upward the sky.

Optics quality

To sum up, it’s just a dream. You have fully multi-coated lenses with ED glass and BAK-4 prism. The light transmission just can’t be better. These Bushnell binoculars 10×42 are sharp, bright and very clean.

Image quality

Very clear details and rich contrast from the image of Bushnell 10×42 Legend L-series binoculars. Colors are very natural as well.

However, what we like the most is the chromatic aberration resistance. Very little, almost no color fringes were found at all.

Low-light performance

We tested this on a heavy cloudy day, and the performance is still there. So no worry at all.

Eye relief

18 mm means that it’s a long eye relief. Therefore, this Bushnell binoculars 10×42 is suitable for eyeglasses wearers.

Build quality

First of all, these are Bushnell waterproof binoculars, so they’re durable against weather difficulties. Secondly, the outer cover by rubber is thick enough to be strong against sudden shock. It’s not fully textured, but the textures are placed at the slippery positions – palm holder. So overall, there’s still a lot of safety there. Finally, the chassis is made of magnesium, which is an expensive material. Which means, the furniture inside is very strong.

Considerations

We love this Bushnell 10×42 Legend L-series binoculars, good quality and still very affordable. But there’s no such perfect option.

We’re not very pleased with eyecups, quite loose. And the lens caps are not up to expectations as well.

The best Bushnell binoculars review – the last word

To us, Bushnell has been a very approachable brand. Most of the products are approachable, most of them are Bushnell compact binoculars. To be honest, we won’t rank this brand as the top tier brands. However, if you’re starting with the binoculars world, Bushnell, in all circumstances, is wonderful.

Last but not least, this might affect your experience with Bushnell a bit. Not all of Bushnell products are waterproof, so you have to be careful with the weather. Of course, if the weather is bad, you would not likely use the binoculars anyway. But just keep in mind to search this information carefully when deciding to buy a Bushnell.
